SISTER MARY CLARE.

Sister Mary Clare, who died at St. Clare's Convent, Church-street and Callington-road, Waverley, yesterday, at the age of 65 years, was the first Australian-born nun to enter the Poor Clare's Order In Australia in the Waverley convent being the mother house of the order in the Commonwealth.   The late Sister Mary Claie celebrated her jubilee 22 years ago.  She was the daughter of the late Edward and Elles Power, who were among the oldest residents of the Waverley dlstrict.  Sister Mary Clare was in charge of the infants' school at the convent for 45 years.  There are three brothers, Mr. Edwaid Power, of Melbourne, Messrs. William and Michael Power, of Waverley, and one sister, Mrs P. J McGrath, of Waverley
