                                                                                          DEATH OF SISTER MARY FELIX.

                                                                                          It will be learned with deep regret that Sister Mary Felix, of the Mater Mlscricordloo Hospital, passed away at 5.30 on Wednesday morning, alter a long illness.
                                                                                          Last March the late Sister contracted a severe attack of pneumonia and pleurisy, and heart trouble supervened.  All that careful attention anil skilful nursing could
                                                                                          do was done, but without avail.  The late Sister Mary Felix, who was born at Kells, County Meath, lieland, came to Queensland 25 years ago. For 17 1/2 years she was attached to All Hallows' School, and when the Mater Mlscrlcordloo Hospital was opened, seven years ago, she was appointed to take charge of it, continuing
                                                                                          in that position until her death.  She was greatly appreciated by all with whom she had come in contact, as she was of a lovable and tactful disposition, and her
                                                                                          Ioss will be keenly felt by the organisations with which she was associated.  During her last  illness she had the spiritual ministrations of Rev. Fathers Breen and
                                                                                          O'Leary.  The funeral, which was largely attended took place yesterday afternoon to the Nudgee cemetery, tho last sad rites being performed by the Rev. Father
                                                                                          O'Leary.  The coffin was carried from the chapel at All Hallows to tho hearse, and later from the hearse to the graveside by Drs. F. W. Vago, W. S. Pago, Ahern, Wilson, Messrs. T. England, and J. J. .Walsh.

                                                                                          LATE SISTER MARY LEONARD.

                                                                                          Sister Mary Leonard Cantwell, who because of failing health joined the staff at the local convent early in the year in the hope that the air might prove beneficial, but died on June 3, was the second daughter of the late Mr. John Cantwell and Mrs. Cantwell.  She was born in Warwick in 1879, and later graduated in St. Mary's School under the charge of the late Sister Mary Kevin O'Brien.  After passing a successful school term she entered the congregation of the Sisters of Mercy at All Hallows in 1901.  For 17 years she was a music teacher at St. Brigid's Parochial School, Red Hill, and afterwards served in the same capacity at Gympie and Bundaberg, being then appointed to the charge of St. Joseph's Convent, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane.  Proximity of the sea being unfavourable to her health she returned to a drier climate
                                                                                          taking charge of St. Patrick's Convent, at Nanango. Subsequently she was appointed in charge of the convent at Mitchell, and after 18 months returned to Warwick.  The funeral look place at the Nudgee cemetery.  She is survived by one sister— Miss Nellie Cantwell (Warwick) and one brother— Mr. W. Cantwell  (Brisbane).

                                                                                          Death of Sister Mary Celestine

                                                                                          The many friends of Sister Mary Celestine  Riordan will regret to hear of her death, which occurred at All Hallows Convent yesterday morning.  The deceased nun was in her 63rd year.  She was born in County Limerick Ireland and arrived in Australia with her parents over 43 years ago.  She joined the Sisters of Mercy in 1873, and for close on 40 eyars had been on the teaching staff of St. Stephen's (Cathedral) School.  She had been in charge of that school for very many years, and to her untiring zeal was largely due the fact that it is one of the most successful Catholic schools in the archdiocese.  Her many past pupils remember her with fellings of the deepest affection, and will keenly deplore her death. There will be a Requiem Mass at 9 o'clock this morning for the repose of her soul, and the funeral will leave the Cathedral at 9.45 for the Nudgee Cemetery.

                                                                                          DEATH OF SISTER MARY CELESTINE.

                                                                                          The funeral took place yesterday of Sister Mary Celestino Riordan, whose death occurred at All Hallows' Convent on Wednesday morning.   A solemn requiem
                                                                                          mass was held at St Stephen's Cathedral at 9 o'clock, Pather Jordan (of Red Hill) being the celebrant In the sanctuary were Fathers Lee (of Rosalie) and O Leary (of St Stephen's).   There was a  very large congregation, which had gathered in the Cathedral as a mark of esteem and regret at the demise of Sister Celestine.   Sisters from the various branch houses in Brisbane attended in large numbers, All Hallows', St Ann's, and others being represented.  Among the school children present were those from  St Stephen's.  St Ann's, and All Hallows', while there were many Children of Mary present at the service.   During the late sister's connection on the teaching staff of
                                                                                          St Stephen's (Cathedral) School many pupils passed through her hands, and these were present at the service in large numbers.  At the conclusion of the requiem
                                                                                          mass "The Dead March" in "Saul" was played on the orgun by Miss Starkey (organist at the Cathedral). The cortege left for Ndgee Cemetery at 9.45 o'clock, amongst the family mourners being Mr. and Mrs M Riordan (brother and sister in law), Mr J Riordan (nephew), and eight of the deceased sister's nieces.  The funeral was largely attended, amongst those present being Messrs P A McLachlan, ML A, Butler, John Dilgei, W. Shannon (Lands Department), P Gaffney (foreman of works, Brisbane City Council), and others.  At the graveside, the service was conducted by Father O'Leary.

                                                                                          LATE SISTER MARY CELESTINE 

                                                                                          At St. Stephen's Cathedral yesterday morning, at 7 o'clock, the "month's mind" of the late Sister Mary Celestine was observed. For over 3O years the deceased
                                                                                          lady had charge of St. Stephen's Sisters of Mercy School in the heart of the city, and it was not surprising that the sacred edifice Was filled by relatives, friends, and
                                                                                          the many past and present pupils of that  old educational establishment.   The Rev.Father James Byrne, who was the celebrant of the mass, spoke in feeling terms 
                                                                                          of the late sister, and the good work she had done.  The junior school attached to St Stephon's, led by Miss Starkey and under the conductorship of Mr P J Henry, sang Webbe's solemn mass Mr Henry also sang the beautiful "Miscere mei Deus, Secundam Magnam Misericordiam Tuain."  Misses Starkey and Masterson, Mr J Goopy, and the choir joined in the concerted and choral poitions.  There were 221 communicants. The arrangements in connection with the mass were made by Miss Kenny.
